Unloop · last updated 18 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Unloop Android app, Chrome extension and website. By signing in you accept them. Unloop is free, has no purchases, and carries no advertising.
Unloop counts the short videos you watch in Instagram and YouTube, and shows its own reminder and lock overlays on top of them once you pass limits you have set. It is a self-control aid. It is not a security product, a parental-control product, or a medical or therapeutic device, and it makes no claim to treat anything.
Do not attempt to disrupt the service, submit fabricated activity data, access another person's account, or automate requests to the API beyond ordinary use of the app.
Your use of Unloop is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which you should read. In particular: to detect a reel, Unloop reads the creator name shown on it where it can, and records that name against your account. It is used internally to understand aggregate viewing patterns and improve the service; it is not shown back to you in the app, and it is never sold or shared. You can delete all of it at any time by deleting your account.
Read this part properly, because it is the whole point of the app.
Unloop is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Counts, sessions, streaks and every other figure the app shows are best-effort estimates derived from on-device detection, and may be wrong in either direction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unloop and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for anything you missed, lost or failed to do while the app was obstructing an app, or while it had stopped detecting. Unloop is supplied free of charge and no payment has been taken for it.
The service may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. These terms may be updated; the date at the top of this page shows when. Continuing to use Unloop after a change means you accept the updated terms.
